Aidan Monks and Catherine Connor, the duo behind multi-award winning Lovingly Artisan Bakery, have been invited to join fellow industry experts as a guest speakers at the annual British Society of Baking (BSB) autumn conference, on Thursday 13 October.

The one-day conference this year will be held at Tythe Barn, Bicester, Oxfordshire.

Each year, the BSB’s spring and autumn conferences bring together the greatest innovators and influencers from across the baking industry to provide delegates with key insights into the future of the industry.

A number of topics will be up for discussion during the conference; including health and the role the baking industry has to play, waste management across the sector, the challenges faced in the manufacture of commercially viable breads, bakery trends and training and development for the future success of the industry.

Monks and Connor will provide a keynote address alongside a whole host of other speakers from across the baking industry who will cover a diverse range of topics, including food waste, bakery production management and health.

"We’re thrilled to be invited to speak at the BSB autumn conference," say the duo.

"We will provide a little insight into what it means to own and operate a modern artisan bakery, and how you can be successful whilst staying true to your principles, creating nutritious breads of that highest quality that put real artisan made bread at the centre of the household dinner table once more, whilst also safeguarding the environment and supporting local employment, knowledge sharing and development opportunities.’’

Lovingly Artisan is based in Kendal in the Lakes, and Altrincham in Manchester.
